With a structure formed by two wooden rocks that form the legs, and a seat defined by an upholstered "blade," Fly, once transposed to a residential context, aims, above all, to convey a feeling of lightness.
The brief
Imagine the lightness of a leaf that has just fallen from one of the branches of a majestic Amazonian tree and now rests peacefully amidst the silence of the forest, on two rocks with rounded contours; now imagine a chaise lounge. A solid and elegant piece of furniture, ready to take center stage in the design of the living room, the entrance hall, and even the bedroom.
Scope of Work
The idea of making furniture a vehicle capable of communicating the urgent need to preserve our forests was the starting point for this project,” says architect and designer Unique Vintage, who, in partnership with Breton, designed Fly. The chaise lounge was initially created to complement the brand’s iconic window display, which will inaugurate its newest showroom in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in October.
